The Duck Phone

The duck phone is a novelty phone that made it’s debute in the 1970′s and is making a huge comeback thanks to the hit TV show Jersey Shore. The traditional duck phone – or more specifically the mallard duck phone – is made out of wood and quacks when it rings. Usually it is hand painted to look just like a real mallard duck. The duck phone usually has all of the features of a regular phone, such as volume control, ringer volume control, tone/pulse, and flash and redial keys. Even though the duck phone has become increasingly popular recently, it is still hard to find because they are very rare collectors items. Generally, you can only find duck phones on collectors websites or auction sites. One of the best places to snag a duck phone is on eBay.

Have you been looking everywhere for a jersey shore duck phone? They are not easy to find! Locating an authentic vintage duck phone can be tricky, but I’ve found a few really nice ones on eBay. There are some real bargains on there. Because the duck phone is such a unique collectors item it’s kind of hard to find online. Most sites I found state that they are either discontinued or out of stock. And the few that I did find were about $100 more than the going rate on eBay. I guess Jersey shore has everybody wanting a friggin’ duck phone! Check out some of the current auctions going on below.
